The world of fashion and beauty loves sultry personalities like Mia Khalifa and Bilal Hassani. Before her, we remember Zahia, who turned her experience into a lucrative fashion business. These intelligent women know how to seize the opportunities offered to them, guided by their devouring passion for everything related to this universe. What’s more, it’s common knowledge that the fashion world has always flirted with the codes of porn to make its mark. Just look at all the advertising in the 80s and 90s that adopted these codes to create desire in its consumers. And it works. You can also take the example of food advertising, which is all about “close-ups” to make you want to bite into something. You see what I mean…

But enough digression, let’s get back to business. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of Paris Fashion Week FW24, Mia Khalifa, like Clara Morgane, has established herself as a key figure in the world of glamour and fashion. The former adult film star, now a fashion icon and brand founder, made her mark with high-profile appearances and daring fashion choices. And now the brunette beauty has realized her dream by walking the catwalk for the famous London label KNWLS, and she’s as sexy as ever. In my last article on the young influencer, I wondered what her next steps would be, and it seems to be in the world of fashion. An almost logical next step, you might say.

Thank you for the advice and thank you for your hospitality. I’ll never forget this evening.”

What’s more, she gave an interview to the webzine Daze. I tell you all about it.

A revealing interview…

The origins of his passion

Mia Khalifa attributes her love of fashion to her mother’s influence and her childhood experiences of discovery and admiration for the great fashion houses. These moments shared on shopping trips sowed the seeds of an enduring passion for style and elegance.

My first fashion memory is being with my mother at Saks. I ran to the Oscar de la Renta section and the sweet sales associate who always saw us there very kindly let me try on a dress. At the age of 12, I thought, “What do you mean I can’t get this dress? Is it $1,000? I don’t understand, it looks so pretty on me.”

A style in search of authenticity

Khalifa shared her journey towards more authentic self-expression through fashion, breaking away from brands that no longer reflected her values or identity. She cited the discovery of vintage pieces by Vivienne Westwood and the timeless elegance of Schiaparelli as revelations, illustrating her attraction to the intersection between art and fashion.

I really want to see GCDS next. I’m dying to get my hands on one of those fucking SpongeBob dresses. You don’t understand, I literally have a tattoo of SpongeBob SquarePants. I’m really excited about the possibility of going to Acne Studios and Diesel, damn it, Diesel! It’s so good!

Highlights and aspirations

Fashion Week was an opportunity for Khalifa to experience intense and memorable moments, underlining the emotional and artistic impact of this universe. It was punctuated by highlights such as her presence at the Bluemarble fashion show and her admiration for the artistic performances at the shows. She expressed a desire to continue exploring this universe, testifying to a renewed passion for the creations of innovative brands such as GCDS and her interest in unique pieces that bring fashion into dialogue with art, such as the Stella McCartney collaborations. Participating in runway shows for iconic brands such as Off-White was a transformative experience, reinforcing her commitment and enthusiasm for fashion.

A final word

Mia Khalifa’s journey and bold choices during Paris Fashion Week FW24 have established her not only as a style icon, but also as an influential voice in the world of fashion. Her reflections on fashion, tinged with emotion and passion, reveal a personality deeply attached to self-expression and the impact of fashion on our identity. Her trajectory, marked by bold choices and a commitment to authenticity, inspires and reminds us that fashion is above all a celebration of individuality and creativity.
